Day Tripper/Don't Let Me Down

(Caribb Roots, Apr, 30th 2025)

The first two singles are “Day Tripper” and “Don’t Let Me Down”, a tribute to the legendary Liverpool band The Beatles. This is the debut studio album by the Ligurian band The Roots Cooler, a ska and rocksteady group formed by a number of veterans of the Genoa underground scene, who perform a repertoire of cover versions, featuring guest appearances by musicians from The BlueBeaters and The Uppertones.

New Sinle Amara Terra Mia

 New! Amara Terra Mia/Perfidia

(Caribb Roots, May, 22th 2026)

Second single for a band, The Roots Cooler, which has been active for a couple of years, even though the musicians have been around for some time in other historic bands from Genoa.Even in these two tracks, as the first single Play The Beatles, The Roots Cooler collaborate with musicians from The Bluebeaters and The Uppertones such as Paolo De Angelo Parpaglione and Enrico Allavena , as well as Filippo Cuomo Ulloa, who, in addition to being the pianist for The Uppertones, is also the producer and sound engineer for the two tracks. The Roots Cooler tackle two classics: the first is a traditional Italian song, ‘Amara Terra Mia’ by Domenico Modugno (best known for his hit “Volare”), and the second is a classic from the Hispanic tradition, ‘Perfidia’, sung in Spanish.
