Mule Train Rec. is a sub-label of Caribb Roots. It aims to showcase a wider range of musical styles, from punk to country, blues and rock in general, setting itself apart from its parent label, Caribb Roots, which is more focused on the ska, rocksteady and reggae genres.
The core concept remains the same: to bring together under one umbrella productions by bands and projects that are closely linked to our team, whether through friendship or shared musical style.
Just as punk converged with reggae/dub in late 1970s England, genres often run parallel, and some of the more adventurous artists blend them to find a new voice that possesses originality and personality.
The more these influences intermingle, the more interesting it all becomes.
The name comes from an old American song from the late 1940s, covered by various artists—the first being Frankie Lane—and tells the story of the mule train used to carry mail and parcels everywhere, even to the most remote areas of the West.
By 1 May, we’ll be unveiling MULE TRAIN’s first 7-inch release – it’s a real cracker, and we’re delighted to have been involved in this first chapter of a new adventure.

Mule Train Rec. è una sottoetichetta di Caribb Roots. Vuole dare spazio ad altre sonorità della musica che vanno dal punk al country al blues al rock in generale e che si differenziano dall'etichetta madre, Caribb Roots, più votata alla famiglia dello ska, rocksteady e reggae.
Il concetto principale rimane uguale: raccogliere sotto lo stesso cappello produzioni di band e progetti legati a doppio filo per amicizia o per stile al nostro team.
Come il punk si avvicinò al reggae/dub a fine anni '70 in Inghilterra, spesso i generi sono paralleli e alcuni artisti più curiosi li mischiano per trovare una voce nuova che abbia originalità e personalità.
Più ci si contagia più tutto diventa interessante.
Il nome deriva da una vecchia canzone americana di fine anni 40, rifatta da vari artisti tra cui il primo è stato Frankie Lane e parla del treno di muli usato per portare posta e pacchi ovunque, anche nelle zone più impervie del west.
Entro il 1° Maggio vi presenteremo il primo 7' in uscita per MULE TRAIN, è una bomba e siamo felici che ci abbiano coinvolto in questo primo capitolo di una nuova avventura.
