Don Diego: "Too Many Miles" è il disco che ho sempre voluto fare. Un album che esplorasse la musica Americana degli anni 50, 60 e 70 senza barriere. Un disco che se ascoltato in viaggio ti possa fare compagnia lungo una strada desolata, ma anche un disco che riesca a catapultarti in un road trip virtuale chiudendo gli occhi mentre lo si ascolta seduti in poltrona. C'è del rockabilly anni 50, del truckin' country anni 60, una punta di "outlaw music" anni 70 e tanto altro. L'ho pensato come un disco di canzoni che potessero rimanere in testa all'ascoltatore e registrato nella maniera più genuina possibile: una band in studio che suona dal vivo attorniato da strumentazione vintage.

Don Diego says: “Too Many Miles” is the album I’ve always wanted to make. An album that explores American music from the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s without any boundaries. An album that, when listened to while traveling, can keep you company along a desolate road, but also one that can transport you on a virtual road trip just by closing your eyes while listening to it from the comfort of your sofa. There’s some ’50s rockabilly, ’60s truckin’ country, a touch of ’70s “outlaw music,” and much more. I conceived it as an album of songs that would stick in the listener’s head, recorded as authentically as possible: a band in the studio playing live, surrounded by vintage gear.
